How healthy are you on a scale of 1-10? Do you have an exercise routine? Do you drink eight glasses of water every day? Do you get to sleep at least 8 hours a day? Do you live a healthy lifestyle?
Healthy lifestyle is not only about healthy eating and exercise — it’s also about having a positive attitude, and a positive self.
Today, I'll share significant tips for you to live a healthier life.
1. Drink more water. Most of us don’t drink enough water every day (taking note the soft drinks that most of us don't know the effects of it to our body). Water is essential for our bodies to function. Do you know over 75% of our body is made up of water? Amazing right? Water is essential for the proper circulation of nutrients in the bodyWater serves at the body's transportation system and when we are dehydrated things just can't get around as well.
Furthermore, drinking water helps in losing weight. A Health.com study carried out among overweight or obese people showed that water drinkers lose 4.5 more pounds than a control group! The researchers believe that it’s because drinking more water helps fill your stomach, making you less hungry and less likely to overeat.

2. Get enough sleep. You will get sick less often, stay at a healthy weight, lower your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease. Reduces stress and improve your mood. You can think more clearly and do better in school and at work.

3. Exercise. Movement is life. It strengthens your heart and improves your circulation. Increase the activity in your life. Choose walking over transport for close distances. Join an aerobics class or a dance class. Pick a sport of your liking (see tip #4).
4. Use sports as a form of exercising. When you like a sport, you naturally want to do it. Exercise isn’t about suffering and pushing yourself; it’s about being healthy and having fun at the same time.

5. Eat fruits. Fruits naturally are low in fat, sodium, and calories. None have cholesterol. Fruits are sources of many essential nutrients that are underconsumed, including potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and folate (folic acid). I eat a variety of fruits every morning and they energize me. Satisfy your plate with these nutritious fruits: Banana, Papaya, Watermelon, Apple, Grapefruit, Pomelo, Mango, Orange.

6. Eat vegetables.
Vegetables are the source of many nutrients and minerals like folate, vitamin K, folate, vitamin A, manganese, and potassium, not to mention dietary fiber which is important for good gut health. All vegetables are important and enrich our diet.
I typically have fruits early in the morning every day, then a cooked meal with grains, potatoes/sweet potatoes, and other delicious vegetables.

7. Stay away from negative people. Positive mental health is part of a healthy life. You don’t need toxic people in your life. If you feel that a friend is negative and it affects what you do or how you deal with life, let him/her go.

8. Love yourself. Self-love is the most important part of living a healthy life. When you have a low self esteem, ican affect everything from how you behave in relationships to how you project yourself at work. It can even prevent you from looking after your health, as you feel unworthy.
